A must-have in Marrakech: The approximately 4,000 m² Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech's new city is one of Morocco's most visited attractions, with around 750.000 visitors annually. Named after the French painter Jacques Majorelle (1886-1962), the garden was purchased by Yves Saint Laurent in 1980, whose ashes were scattered in the rose garden after his death in 2008.
